Joseph Pilates originally created the Wunda Chair to give NYC residents (where he also lived) a small and versatile apparatus for home use. He imagined people in their small apartments reading books while sitting on their chairs, then hours later being able to remove cushions and get an incredible work out. Pretty cool!
